Here's a version of the abstract in English:

In the digital age, new literary genres and subgenres are emerging, not only on screens, but also in publishing catalogues and on bookstore shelves. Dark Romance, a subgenre of romance, is part of this phenomenon. However, in a context where movements such as #Metoo play a central role in society, this subgenre occupies a paradoxical position. Its themes often run counter to contemporary feminist values by portraying toxic and unequal relationships, as well as physical and psychological violence. What is this new representation of love that provokes both concern and division ? This thesis seeks to trace the gradual emergence of Dark Romance, to examine selected works: Captive, KiaraDiamant écorché par le sang, Valentina and The Devil’s Sons; and to observe how professionals in the literary industry — publishers and booksellers — are engaging with it.
