Here's the abstract:

This thesis examines contemporary erotic romance literature as a space for female sexual agency and self-expression. It analyzes Fifty Shades of Grey (2011) by E. L. James and Twisted Games (2021) by Ana Huang as key moments in the genre's evolution. Through comparative textual analysis, it explores changes in narrative tone, erotic explicitness, and representations of female desire. The study argues that erotic romance has shifted from marginalization to mainstream normalization while foregrounding female sexuality and agency.
