Chinese online romance novelsare novels aimed at female readers, which describe the love betweenwomenandmen.Many young Chinese readersunderstandthatnovels havemanyconventions of plot, but they stillengage withthe perfect love between handsome men and beautiful women. This leads to a question:isreading romance novels related to Chinese people's concept of love?Wecannot prove that there is a causal relationship between online romance novels and readers' view of love. Althoughmany previous studies have been conducted on the influence of literary works on readers' values, somepeople read online romance novelsasthey agree with the views of love in the novels.In addition, we havenot foundresearch on the relationship between online romance novels and people's viewsof love.Our researchhopes tomake up forthe lack of research on online romance novelsas a genre. Forour research, wecollected 175 questionnaires.Usingthe method of frequency analysis, we analysedthe specific characteristics of the participants in thestudy.After this,in accordance withthe recommendations of reliability analysis and validity analysis, weusedchi-square analysis and variance analysis to deal with thecategoricaland quantitative data, respectively.Wefound thatpeople who read online romance novels look forward to marriage more than those whodislikethe genre. People who often read online romance novels are more likelytovalue havingcommon preferenceswith their partnerwhenpursuing a romantic connection. People who read online romance novels aremore worriedthattheir partnersmay abandonthemas a result of physicaldisability than those who have not read online romance novels. Theaimof this paper is todemonstratethatmany women who read romance novels haveimmatureviews on love.
